Weekend Fun

We are getting ready to go out of town for the weekend. That will be so nice. Hopefully it will give Shawn and I a chance to reconnect, since we have been going in different directions for a couple of weeks. There is a lot going on around our neighborhood though that we hate to miss. Our wonderful next-door neighbors are going to become our wonderful back-door neighbors, as they move into a beautiful new home. Our other next-door neighbors will be mourning the loss of a parent this weekend. I was feeling so overwhelmed with just the thoughts of everything I would like to get done, let alone everything that NEEDS to get done. In my Bible time yesterday though, I studied Eve and Rebekah. It all boils down to the fact that they didn’t trust God. They worried they were missing out. They manipulated situations. They just thought that they knew best. What a lesson I needed to hear (of course that is what happens when you just open your Bible). So, today, in the middle of laundry and packing I am praying for a peace that God will make sure everything gets done that needs to get done. I don’t have to worry about it. It makes for a much more pleasurable “adventure.”
